Quality Review of the Library Completed

A quality review of the Library took place in early February as part of the review process of the Quality Office, NUI Galway. The review group, comprised of individuals external to the Library as well as NUI Galway academic staff, met a wide range of stakeholders during its visit and the Library is very grateful for the generous time and valuable advice given by all who participated in making this process such a worthwhile experience. 

The resulting report notes many strengths within the Library and this is a great encouragement as we all look towards 2020 through the University’s strategic planning process. It also makes a number of recommendations relating to the Library building, collections and communications in particular. An action plan is now being developed. We look forward to communicating more on developments in the coming time.
