The Library is here to support you in all aspects of your study at NUI Galway.  
Our resources range from the essential requirements of a comfortable study space to the most complex online research resource produced by a world expert. All these elements will have their time and place in your experience in NUI Galway. Here we summarise the major services available to you.




Your Resources
Our Library holds 30,000 journals and 500,000 books in both print and electronic format.
We also have archives, maps, dvds, newspapers, databases, popular fiction.

Library Website and WiFi
The Library website incorporates the Library catalogue and is a gateway to an extensive collection of printed and electronic resources.
We have a great IT infrastructure with WiFi, computer suites, and stand-up PCs available throughout the Library.




    



Help and Getting Started
Our Library and IT Service Desk deals with both Library and IT queries and will assist you with all your needs.
If you require some further guidance our regular Finding Books and Journals sessions over the next few weeks gives you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the Library facilities and resources.







Training and Research Expertise
Our subject librarians and information assistants have expertise in specific disciplines and are eager to meet you. Drop into one of the Information Offices to meet your subject team.
Remember, we not only provide help with reading lists and research, we can also help you with essay-writing through the Academic Writing Centre.
