Your Student ID Card is required to access the Library

Please remember to bring your Student ID Card with you whenever you visit the Library. You will need your card to both enter and exit the Library via the turnstiles at the main entrance, as well as for printing/photocopying and borrowing books.

In order to activate the turnstiles on entry and exit you just need to hold your Student ID Card a few inches from the square green card reader. The reader is sensitive enough to allow you to keep your card in the outside pocket of your wallet or bag and still read it. Should you forget your Student ID Card you may request a temporary one day pass, on production of valid ID (e.g. credit card, driving licence, passport) and the payment of a €2 administrative charge, this will be issued at the Library Stewards Desk at the entrance to the Library. Please note that you may only avail of a temporary one day card once per semester.
