Springer Protocols Handbooks now available

The Library has recently purchased the Springer Protocol e-book Collection published from 1980 until the end of 2026. (Note that this access will not include new 2027 titles).

Springer Protocols Handbooks collects a diverse range of step-by-step laboratory methods and protocols from across the life and biomedical sciences. 

Springer Protocols Handbooks cover a broad range of laboratory-based disciplines, including:

  • Molecular and cellular biology
  • Biochemistry and proteomics
  • Microbiology and immunology
  • Biomedical and clinical research
  • Plant science and biotechnology

Each protocol opens with an introductory overview, a list of the materials and reagents needed to complete the experiment, and is followed by a detailed procedure supported by a notes section as well as troubleshooting advice.
