Located just inside the entrance of the library the Library & IT Service Desk is your first point of contact for your Library and IT queries.
We can help you with a wide variety of topics ranging from "How do I borrow a book using one of the self issue machines?" to "How do I connect to Wifi?"
During term time we are open from 08:30 to 22:00 Monday to Friday and also 09:30 to 12:00 on Saturdays.
We also offer a number of online resources to help deal with your queries such as:
- If you need a quick introduction to the library and it's services try Getting Started in the Library for information on when the next training course is on.
- For those who want a quick overview of I.T. Services in NUI Galway try our Quick Start Guide
- The Library website http://library.nuigalway.ie has a lot of resources that may interest you
- If it's IT information on the Information Solutions and Services department you need then their website for students is http://nuigalway.ie/iss4students
Remember the quickest way to get an issue resolved if you can't come to the library in person is to log a ticket in our service desk ticketing system at http://servicedesk.nuigalway.ie
Just sign in with your campus account and password, choose the topic your query relates to and enter some details about your query. The ticket will then be routed to the correct staff member and you will receive a reply to your nuigalway.ie email address.
