Access to the  Digital National Security Archive (DNSA) database is now available via http://www.library.nuigalway.ie/ . Digital National Security Archive contains the most comprehensive set of declassified government documents available. It includes 41 collections consisting of over 101,000 meticulously indexed documents, with more than 712,000 total pages. Each of these collections, compiled by top scholars and experts, exhaustively covers the most critical world events, countries, and U.S. policy decisions from post World War II through the 21st century. Together, these collections offer unparalleled access to the defining international strategies of our time. Glossaries, chronologies, bibliographies, overviews, and photographs are included. Archives and Special Collections Reading Room The Archives and Special Collections Reading Room is located on the ground floor of the Hardiman Research building, the new extension to the James Hardiman Library. Being located at the heart of campus, the Reading Room is a hub for scholars to undertake research and encounter the rich archival and special collections unique to NUI Galway. State-of-the-art facilities include a 36-seat capacity room and access to a range of research collections as well as leading technologies in digitisation, preservation and access. Services and collections available at the Reading room include the archive collections covering a wide range of disciplines. Local authority records range from the 15 th  century Galway Corporation through to Galway Town commissioners and Galway Urban Council of the 20 th  Century. A quality review of the Library took place in early February as part of the review process of the Quality Office, NUI Galway. The review group, comprised of individuals external to the Library as well as NUI Galway academic staff, met a wide range of stakeholders during its visit and the Library is very grateful for the generous time and valuable advice given by all who participated in making this process such a worthwhile experience.  The resulting report notes many strengths within the Library and this is a great encouragement as we all look towards 2020 through the University’s strategic planning process. It also makes a number of recommendations relating to the Library building, collections and communications in particular. An action plan is now being developed. We look forward to communicating more on developments in the coming time.
