Bad books
During the months of November and
December, we will be celebrating ‘the book’ in Special Collections: book
history, book production and printing, book use and reception.
A spotlight
exhibition will run in the Reading Room during November focusing
on the production and printing of early printed books, and in particular the
errors and imperfections that arose during those processes. The spotlight exhibition can be
viewed in its entirety on the digital display wall in the Hardiman Foyer during
the month of November.
Why not join the
Special Collections team on Wednesday November 5th for a look at a selection of bad books from our collections in
the company of Dr. Justin Tonra, English Dept. This is the second in a series of
seven short lectures to be hosted by Special Collections at the James Hardiman
Library throughout 2014-2015, and will be held at 1pm in seminar room G011 in the
Hardiman Building.
