I tried Irish Origins database, but it seems that it is necessary to pay for usage...what has NUI Galway signed up for? AW

Re Access to Irish Origins: Choose Irish Origins from Resource List on E-Knowledge, Click on Irish Origins Collection, Click on the desired resource from the list, e.g Griffith's Valuation. At the next screen click on "Logged On Users" to go to the search page. The Library is a subscriber. It is not necessary to pay to use this resource. [Marie Boran, Special Collections Librarian].

No, you cant access the archive as a 'logged on user', a screen pops up and asks for your email address & password. I've had terrible problems trying to access the e-sources, especially via opac links.

Thank you for letting me know this. I have tried Off Campus access and it is not satisfactory. I will forward your comments to our E-Resources team. In the meantime, if you like to contact me directly at marie.boran@nuigalway.ie I will try to assist with your Griffith's Valuations query.
