New realms

Written at the height of Canada’s rail construction era, this work documents a gruelling cross-country expedition by George Munro Grant (1835-1902) in the company of chief engineer Sir Sandford Fleming (1827-1915) to chart the route of a new railway to open up the west to settlement.
