Westlaw UK New Platform - Important Information

Westlaw UK & International will be moving permanently to a new platform in early October (date tbc). The new platform will feature: updated search interface enhanced searching options enhanced document display more personalisation Please note though, that personalisation features on the existing Westlaw UK site will not be migrated over to the new platform. During the period of dual access to both sites, it's recommended that users utilise this times to review and setup alerts and folders within the new Westlaw UK. [*RESTORED*] Access to E-Resources Temporarily Down

UPDATE: Access to resources has been restored. Thanks again for your patience _____________________________________________________________________ If you are off-campus, or connected to campus wifi, then access to the Library's e-resources is temporarily down at the moment. This is due to a server security certificate which is in the process of being renewed. Our apologies for the the interruptions in access; we're hoping to be back up and running by the afternoon of Wednesday 11th. Note: you can still access resoruces as normal via PC suites or any computer connected to the network via a network cable. Many thanks for your patience.

Kanopy - Video Streaming Collection

Kanopy   is a video streaming collection providing access to over  20,000  films from more than  850  filmmakers.  Kanopy's film collection covers all subject disciplines and includes documentaries, feature films, foreign language film, independent film, instructional film and more. Over  200+  new films are added every month. The Library's access to Kanopy is via a Patron Driven Acquisition Programme. A set amount of money has been paid to the supplier of Kanopy for this financial year. If a film is viewed  4+  times this film is licensed/triggered and the budget is deducted accordingly. Note:  Lecturers should ensure any films/documentaries required for course material are viewed  4+  times to ensure the film is triggered. The usage of Kanopy will be monitored regularly.
