A Big Thanks! From the Galway Giving Tree 2025!
The Galway Giving Tree 2025 was a great success for the Library, with 50 tags disappearing off the tree in a matter of days!!
A big thank you to everyone, staff and students alike, who took a tag, supported, and helped us with moving gifts from one spot to another. It was very much appreciated. I'm adding here the thank you from the folks at the Galway Giving Tree so you can see what a huge community effort we proudly continue to be a part of.
THANK YOU GALWAY from all of us at the Galway Giving Tree!! We had an incredible collection yesterday – 2025 was our BIGGEST COLLECTION YET! Thanks to you, 2,630 gifts were collected from 44 Host Businesses and distributed to our charity partners, fulfilling all our wish requests! As always, we were touched by the generosity and effort put into the gifts. It is community spirit at it’s festive best.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the sponsorship from the amazing folks at Boston Scientific. They not only sponsor the program but are also our largest Host Business whose enthusiasm for the program cannot be underestimated. Our thanks also to our friends at 'U Store It' who saved the day by providing transport and our great supporters at Frends Restaurant who provided our volunteers with delicious sandwiches on the day.
As our elves get ready to return to the North Pole, we wanted to share some details for those who may have missed the collection. Please see below for locations where you can drop off your gifts:
Or, if you missed the program entirely but would still like to help, there is a lot of demand on support services this year and our charity partners are always grateful for donations:

Thanks for helping us spread some smiles. Galway, you are the best! Wishing you and yours a safe and happy Christmas,
Ronan, Florinda & the GGT Elves,
Caroline and Regina
