The Cambridge History of Ireland is now available online via the Library catalogue: The Cambridge History of Ireland. Volume I, 600-1550 The Cambridge History of Ireland. Volume II, 1550-1730 The Cambridge History of Ireland. Volume III, 1730-1880 The Cambridge History of Ireland. Volume IV,  1880 to the present Diarmuid Ferriter, (Lecturer in Modern Irish History, UCD) has described The Cambridge History of Ireland as: "a collective scholarly endeavour by 100 contributors..., covering the Irish experience from the year 600 to the present and bursting with provocative, intelligent analysis and accessible narratives. We are very pleased to announce that our project, 'Supporting Diversity in Academic Writing', has received funding from the NUIG Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Project Fund.  Thanks to this grant, we will be able to hold a unique interactive workshop given by writing tutors from the University of Hawaii on 29 January 2019 at 5pm.   How can one support diversity through the teaching of academic writing? Do some practices reflect tutors’ unconscious biases and thus unintentionally lead to the silencing of diverse voices?
