Thomson Reuters invite you to attend a training event to learn more about recent developments and additional databases on our Web of Science platform. During the event Thomson Reuters will present  practical examples of the improvements and key new features and extra databases that enhance the way our user community interact with our solutions.

The event will cover the following main items:

1.  Journal and Highly Cited Data on Incites 2.0

  • Essential Science Indicators:

·          

    •   Essential Science Indicators production, uses and Citation Thresholds.
    •  Identify highly cited institutions, countries and papers by research field.
    •   Measure the performance of papers using ESI field averages and percentiles.
    •   Identify high impact fields for institutions and countries.
    •   Save reports and output in various formats

 

  • Journal Citation Reports:

·          

    •   Explore category level data.
    •   Explore journal level data and view new ways in which to create custom lists and rankings.
    •   Create custom reports on selected journals.
    •   Save reports and output in various formats

 

  • Improved integration of indicators and metrics from ESI and JCR in Web of Science Core Collection

2.  The Citation Connection in Web of Science and new interface features

  •  Introduction to the additional databases included ( Data Citation index, BIOSIS Life Sciences database, Book Citation Index, Current Contents, Derwent Innovations Index)
  •   Examples of searching databases individually and All Database Searching
  •   Updating your ReseacherID profile with additional documents (Data Study, Book)
  •   Google Scholar collaboration, SciELO Citation Index and Journal Quartile in WOS CC
