Introducing - The Short Stay Zone

Floor 1 - Short Stay Zone

For your convenience and to ensure that you can get a study place in the library when you drop in between lectures, or just for a short period at any time of the day, we have introduced the Short Stay Zone on Floor 1.

Short Stay means Short Stay!
  • If you vacate a seat you give up the seat

  • You cannot reserve a seat, and the 30 Minute Rule does not apply to this area

  • Belongings will be removed from vacant seats

Library Survey - taught postgraduate students

On 22 March, the Library will be launching an online survey of taught postgraduate students. We are keen to have students' views of the Library, so that we can further develop services that meet students' needs. The link to the online survey will be sent to students' NUI Galway email addresses, and all respondents will be entered automatically into a prize draw. The survey will take only ten minutes to complete, and there is plenty of opportunity to add comments. Please note that all responses are treated with the utmost confidentialty.

Training on how to keep up to date with new publications - Friday at 3pm

This one-hour session will explore online services that can help you to keep up with recently published material. Participants will have opportunity to set up alerting services that best suit the way they work.
