New e-Resource: Medieval Travel Writing

Access is now available to a new e-resource - Medieval Travel Writing (Adam Matthew Digital). This new collection from Adam Matthew Digital presents manuscripts of some of the most important works of European travel writing from the later medieval period. The chief focus is on journeys to Central Asia and the Far East, including accounts of travel to Mongolia, Persia, India, China and South-East Asia. The collection also includes a number of important accounts of travels to or through the Holy Land. Acess is available via e-Knowledge at http://www.library.nuigalway.ie/

EndNote Web downtime: Sunday 16th May 2010

Thomson Reuters will be performing maintenance to the ISI Web of Knowledge, EndNote Web and Researcher ID this coming Sunday, 16th May, 2010 beginning 4:00 AM GMT. During this time, there will be disruption of service and access to these products. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Library Catalog Maintenance: downtime risk June 2nd

The Aleph database component of the Library Catalogue will undergo maintenance on Wednesday June 2nd from 08:30 to 18:00. We hope to avoid any downtime. There will be an elevated risk of downtime, however, in which case book circulation, inter-library loans and access to library holdings information will be curtailed.
